AEC Lataste - All apprentices of 2015 successfully completed their apprenticeship; 15 new apprentices for 2016
By June 2016, all apprentices that started their apprenticeship in 2015 completed their training. AEC Lataste is regularly following-up to make sure the program really sustainably benefits them. A small survey among the youngsters showed that 86% of them are satisfied or very satisfied with their current situation. On average, they earn $150 per month which is more than the regional average..
Currently, there are 15 new apprentices in the program who come from rural areas and families who face difficult economic situations. 60% of the apprentices are female and the trainings offered got a bit more diverse than those of last year. For examples, some boys are now being trained in agricultural machinery.
